Ramona's Wildlands
Take a closer look at the amazing varieties of habitat
and life within them including:
• 5,000 acres of native grasslands crucial for
migrating and resident eagles, hawks, falcons and
water fowl. It is one of the last large grasslands in
Southern California.
• A rich diversity of wetlands including riparian
woodlands and perennial streams, arroyos,
meadows and rare vernal pools. These habitats are
vital oases for wildlife.
• Foothills with rolling Englemann oak savanna and
dense live oak woodlands.
• Ramona (blue) lilac chaparral habitat and coastal
sage scrub that support rare and sensitive plants and
animals.
